The cover of this album is of my mom holding me as a baby in 1987. My mom played all kinds of classical piano and she passed away in 2001. Piano Journey was recorded on her piano in improvisational fashion. Tumultuous Journey was recorded on my childhood keyboard, a yamaha as the batteries were dying. With the help of magic fingers and the dying battery, secret sounds lost deep in the keyboards programing come out including the sounds of the eternal space roar and super mario fire balls. Now that I think of it, the keyboard was at my dads house and probably he took this picture, he was into playing folk and blues guitar as well as making electronic music and he passed away in 2014. From all of my memories my parents were divorced I used to have just one picture where all three of us were in it but I seemed to have lost it, it was of them holding me in the hospital on the first day of my life.
this album was recorded from a rediscovered cassette tape that was recorded in 2007 or 2008 when i became interested in making things up on the piano.
